I recieved my suit yesterday and I LOVE IT! The suit I received is fantastic, I will be putting in my next order soon. I am really enjoying this experience with your company, and I am considering selling your suits part time as a hobby, around the Washington area! If I had some swatches to show people I could sell these suits all day long. I have found the 4 or 5 most poular styles for this year and plan on having you make me one of each. Again, I can´t tell you enough how happy I am with my new suit. I will send you a digital picture of it on me, today.

For most people one of their biggest concerns in choosing custom clothing as an option is a fear of not knowing what to expect when you begin your custom clothing adventure. In order to get the most out of your custom clothing experience, it is important to understand some basic custom clothing terminology.

Bespoke

Bespoke clothing is an English term used to describe clothes that are made to order.

Bodice

Term used to describe the upper part of a garment that covers the breast. The term is most commonly used in reference to a dress.

Cuff

Term used to describe the end part of the sleeve where the material of the sleeve is turned back or a separate band is sewn on.

Embellishments

Term used to describe the materials used to adorn the buttons and cuffs on a shirt.

Hem

Term used to describe the edge of a piece of clothing that has been turned under and sewn.

Lapel

Term used to describe the uppermost portion of the coat or jacket facing.

Made to Measure

Term used to describe clothing that is sewn from a standard sized base pattern.

Puckering

Term used to describe what happens when material gathers during the sewing process.

Trimming

Term used to describe the removal of unwanted material.

As you set out to begin creating your custom wardrobe, it is important to understand what terms will be used during the design process. These terms will be used during the fitting where you are measured for your garment and also again during the alterations process once the garment begins the completion process.
